A Normal Piercing

-May be slightly red. Redness may persist for several months in a navel
-May bleed a little for the first few days
-May secrete a whitish-yellow fluid which crusts on the jewelry. This is not pus
-May tighten around the jewelry as it heals making moving the jewelry difficult when dry.
How Should I Clean My Piercing?
(Eyebrows, Navel, Nipple, Ear Lobes, and Ear Cartilage)
- You will need Alcohol and Q-tips or alcohol prep pad or the Dr. Stash's Aftercare.
-You will need to clean the crusty off of the top of the ring and the bottom of the jewelry with alcohol or Dr. Stash’s Aftercare. The next step
would be to work the Alcohol or Dr. Stash's Aftercare spray in the piercing by moving the ring up and down do this only 2 to 3 times a day.
DO NOT OVER CLEAN!
IF YOU SHAVE YOUR NAVEL AREA STOP UNTIL THE PIERCING IS HEALED!
(Tongues)
- You will need a large bottle of Listerine (any flavor).
-Rinse after eating, drinking, smoking, or having oral intercourse.
-Refrain from eating any salty foods for the first few days.
-Make sure to always rinse after everything you do that comes in contact with your mouth for the first few days and after that cut back to 2
to 3times a day. If it starts feeling dehydrated or turning white ease up to 2 times a day, your just over cleaning it.
(Labret)
-You need to follow the same instructions as tongue piercings but with the addition of cleaning the outside of your lip lightly with alcohol or
Dr. Stash's Aftercare to clean around the exit hole.
(Genitals)
-You will need anti-bacterial non-alcoholic baby wipes .
-Use the baby wipes after every urination or intercourse. Clean off the ring gently then turn the ring up and down to insure smoothness and
cleanliness.
(Nostrils)
-You will need alcohol and Q-tips or Dr. Stash’s aftercare spray. Gently clean the area around the stud with the Q-tip and alcohol or Dr.
Stash's Aftercare. After cleaning around the hole gently move the nostril screw up and down.
When Can I Remove or Change The Jewelry?
-Your piercing will not be completely healed for several years. Even after the piercing has healed, reinsertion can be difficult and
sometimes impossible. Jewelry should not be changed during the initial healing period. Our recommended waiting time for changing your
jewelry is 2 to 3 weeks if you take care of it properly.
-Always check with your artist before changing your jewelry to insure proper healing.
